Giro & Jainu, “In the Rain”
This was another request, and I am so glad because it is such a great song! The vocals are great and the music is relaxing like the lyrics. Most songs use rain as a metaphor for sadness, but I like the idea of using it as a way to cool down hot tempers. I’ll be looking out for more Giro and Jainu releases in the future!
English:
[I thought we had suffered through winter
and a spring to melt our frozen hearts had come]
but in an unthinkable, summer-like fever,
our hearts deviated and grew further apart
What kind of person am I to you?
What kind of relationship do we have?
You lose your temper over these kind of questions
Our time just keeps going
Summer has come for a bit, but
we’re too focused on these things
In this rain that pours for us,
even if we get drenched, we don’t feel cold
Let’s just stop in the rain for a while
Even as we get soaked, let’s rest in this rain
At some point, we changed without realizing it
We got drunk on spring’s warmth and became drowsy
The summer days when we only talked about our own desires,
Those days will pass; let’s ask each other why we’re thirsty
We’re still not very adult-like, are we?
Sometimes we’re selfish, aren’t we?
Like children, we turn our backs to each other
Our time just keeps going
Fall has come looking for us but
We seem to be trapped in summer
In this rain that pours for us,
even if we get drenched, we don’t feel cold
Let’s just stop in the rain for a while
Even as we get soaked, let’s rest in this rain
OMG Thank you for translating! ❤
I really, really appreciate it.
Thanks for the request! I’ve been on the other side of the barrier before and I understand the frustration so I’m just happy to help even a little bit~
