House of the Dragonfly

Entropy Blue, “Oblivion”

As this song shifts interestingly between quasi-funk for the verses and electro-rock for the chorus, I just imagine myself at the hidden garden bar of Valley Rock after having enjoyed a day of good music, food, and drink. Any song that makes me feel this way is a good song.

English:

If I close my eyes, perhaps without knowing, will it pass?

Impatient, my senses are quite sharp

I can’t see myself, so

your disappearing traces are quite sharp

I try to forget so it’s not really forgetting

I try to connect the dots but they don’t really connect

I don’t get it, either

Everything is disappearing,

even though I’ve never let go of anything

Everything is growing further away,

even though nothing has ever left

I try to forget so it’s not really forgetting

I try to connect the dots but they don’t really connect

I don’t get it, either

Everything is disappearing,

even though I’ve never let go of anything

Everything is growing further away,

even though nothing has ever left

Everything is disappearing,

even though I’ve never let go of anything

Everything is growing further away,

even though nothing has ever left

[It sometimes resurfaces like scars

left somewhere on my body]

Sometimes, even though there’s regrettable clarity,

That day, those days were overcast
