Round & Round

The Vane, “Round & Round”

As far as I can tell, The Vane is just a one-man band comprised solely of Chae Bo Hun. To me, his style is highly reminiscent of Jung Joon Young. The rich, deep vocals and the instrumentals that fall somewhere in the breadth of mainstream rock. Definitely not a bad thing.

I’ll let it drowned in dark

Round

English:

At the end of the day

[I lie down with the countless days

left at my side]

I’ll let them drown in darkness

After I wake from sleep again,

something is bothering me

it won’t go away and keeps pestering me

My mind goes round and round

My cold shadow, softly cast,

I want to lock it up deep in my heart

After I wake from sleep again,

something is bothering me

it won’t go away and keeps pestering me

My mind goes round and round

After I wake from sleep again,

something is bothering me

it won’t go away and keeps pestering me

My mind goes round and round and round

Round

Thanks for the translation! I didn’t know K-INDIE existed until I heard The Vane song in Save Me. I like Alt Rock, so I listen to a few of his songs regularly and it’s nice to know what they mean.

I’m glad you found something you like! K-indie is not as immediately apparent as K-pop, but it’s been getting easier to find thanks to YouTube and other social media. I have a long list of The Vane songs I want to translate, so if there’s a song you’ve been particularly curious about, feel free to let me know and I’ll bump it up the list~

That’s really nice of you. I think the only one I couldn’t find was Windsurfer. I found a version where the Korean parts were written in Hangul and then spelled out phonetically, but they were never translated to English. Lol.
