MintGray, ‘White Out”

I first remember hearing about the concept of a snow “white-out” when I read Little House on the Prairie. It made logical sense in my brain, I understood why it was so dangerous, but I had a hard time feeling the fear in my heart. I’ve even read numerous mountaineering books (by father worked at an outdoor books distributor) and watched quite a few movies where whiteout events occurred, Yet none of these send chills in my bones quite like an emotional whiteout does. To be honest, I don’t even feel like MintGray have properly captured how that might sound in music, but I think their lyrics are close.

White out White out White out

White out White out White out

White out White out White out

White out White out White out

English:

It’s just really bright

I wandered to extremes, but

I stubbornly refuse to find a path

I just really hurt

I’m terribly dizzy, but

I stubbornly refuse to find myself

By still feeling like this,

by being a little funny,

I don’t want to keep fooling myself past this point

White out White out White out

White out White out White out

By still feeling like this,

by being a little funny,

I don’t want to keep fooling myself past this point

White out White out White out

White out White out White out

Today I seem more like that

I seem more like that than yesterday

But even still, I think I seem incredibly awkward
