칵스 ~ 에코

The Koxx, “Echo”

In retrospect, no matter how valuable honesty is, I probably shouldn’t have told my middle-aged coworker that The Koxx are one of my favorite bands recently. Now she is going around under the illusion that “koxx” doesn’t really mean anything in English, that it’s just a name. But I was really just so excited that I am going to see them this weekend at Zzong Party that I just kind of blurted it out! And then once it was lurking uncomfortably in the air, there was no taking it back. And how do you explain to your coworker in the middle of a crowded bus full of other coworkers what “koxx” really sounds like in English? You just don’t. So I didn’t.

한국어:

So I look in your smile

and see the days

we gave nothing but love

난 아직 그 자리에

멍하니 그날 생각에 잠겨

울던 우린 눈물 멈추곤

한숨을 쉰 후 웃음 뒤에

끝이라 말하던

너의 마지막 목소리가

내 안에 남아선

I’m alone with your voice

With a scent of your lips

I’m still into you, to you

So I look in your smile

and see the days

we gave nothing but love

끊어진 우리

진한 그리움에 닿았을 때

메마른 향기에 찔려

눈물 흘리지 않기를

I’m alone with your voice

With a scent of your kiss

I’m still into you, to you

So I look in your smile

and see the days

we gave nothing but love

So I look in your smile

and see the days

we gave nothing but love

English:

So I look in your smile

and see the days

we gave nothing but love

I’m still in the same place

Vacantly lost in thought about that day

We cried, then our tears stopped

After a sigh, you smiled

Then you said, “This is the end.”

Those were your last words

They remain inside me

I’m alone with your voice

With a scent of your lips

I’m still into you, into you

So I look in your smile

and see the days

we gave nothing but love

We’ve broken up

When we can touch our deep longing

we’ll be pricked by the arid fragrance

but we won’t cry

I’m alone with your voice

With a scent of your kiss

I’m still into you, into you

So I look in your smile

and see the days

we gave nothing but love

So I look in your smile

and see the days

we gave nothing but love
