Lee JiHyung & Kwon JinA, “Duet”

This cute song is about finding someone to share the appeal in the mundane and habitual things with. The unofficial video reflects this perfectly by using clips from a classic 90’s film called “Art Museum by the Zoo,” which is about strangers getting to know each other while exploring the reality of each other’s daily lives. The endearing atmosphere of the scenes also matches the song very well. In general, this song just makes me happy!

Note: The ending sounds a little weird, so I’m not 100% sure if I’m interpreting it right, but that’s what it seems to say, at least literally…

English:

Every day with you

in the exact same room

at the exact same time

we share the exact same morning, so

I’m quite thankful

Every day with you

in the exact same dishes

with the exact same side dishes

we eat the exact same food, but still

I’m quite thankful

Someday, this feeling

I’ll find someone to share it with

It probably isn’t possible, but

maybe it is

Someday

Every day with you

on the exact same sofa

for the exact same jokes

we watch the exact same movie, but still

I’m quite thankful

Every day with you

over the exact same mistake

for the exact same fight

we halfheartedly reconcile, but still

I’m quite thankful

Someday, this feeling

I’ll find someone to share it with

It probably isn’t possible, but

maybe it is

Someday

Every day you want to sleep

on my knees

on my shoulders

in my heart

and my health

and in my day

I want to sleep on your lips

your sweet lips

I want to sleep
