Sugardonut, “Changed”

Channeling major Nell feels, “Changed” (which translates literally to “if I open the door”) struck me instantly with the quiet symbolism of its video that so perfectly matched the mood of the music. One reason I like Sugardonut so much is that they create such a wide range of music styles. Even among their recent songs, “Imagine, Close Your Eyes” is completely different from “So What” which is so different from “Flower in the Night.” Sugardonut is never a band that leaves you bored or untouched, and “Changed” is no exception.

English:

If I oh so carefully

open my closed heart,

I can see the countless forgotten things

I threw away into a corner

I’m bumped in the dark

I become full of numerous wounds

I can hear your past words

that I couldn’t feel back then

I’m petrified by my fear of

whether it’s not too late

It’s opening right in front of me

I foolishly can’t get over myself

I don’t know when it started

Among all these people by my side,

I can see myself changing

I’m petrified by my fear of

whether it’s not too late

It’s opening right in front of me

I foolishly can’t get over myself

I don’t know when it started

Among all these people by my side,

I can see myself changing
