Seo In Young, “Let’s Break Up”
Although this song was released quite a while ago, and the former Jewelry member doesn’t really need much help promoting herself, I wanted to share this song. Her low voice backed by the folk sound in the chorus is somewhat reminiscent of Norah Jones.
And even though the lyrics talk about a stereotypical breakup, they can do so quite poetically:
“우리 지난 추억이 저 하늘에 걸리고
나의 마음은 붉게 지고 있네.
사랑한단 말도 노을 위로 흩어지고
그림자만 더 길어지네.”
Our memories are caught up in that sky
and my heart is setting crimson.
Words of love are also scattered above the sunset
and only our shadows are becoming longer.
Despite being from a fairly well-known artist, “Let’s Break Up” comes across as an indie song. It’s quite nice.
