Jung In, “Autumn Man”
This song is just too awesome to ignore with its bass line, Jung In’s beyond-smooth switch to rap, and endearing video. But I’ll get back to it later.
So I finally have the opportunity to return to this song! There aren’t very many surprises lyrically or in the mv, but “Autumn Guy” does have its own unique charm. It’s about a girl who isn’t too thrilled that her guy becomes distant every autumn — not because he’s seeing another girl or anything like that, but just because that’s how autumn affects him. She defiantly states that there are things she can do by herself, too, but ultimately she misses her guy. The mv directly reflects this theme (like I said, no surprises) but the style of the song is so catchy with a really unique sound. I mentioned previously that her transition to rap is really smooth, as the rap blends very naturally with her singing. Overall, a very well-rounded and quality song that deserves way more love than it’s been receiving.
